Friends of Coln House School is a registered Charity (1037488).

It aims are:

Raising money to advance the education of Pupils at Coln House School.  

Raising awareness of the School within the Community and encourging the Support from local people. And for this purpose it is necessary to conduct various actions, or to publish articles, addressing to professional letter writer service, to carry out actions and to organize forums. This will tempt the population - regardless of age - learning more about the school. 

Since 2004, the charity has raised over £87,000 providing financial support for a wide variety of projects ranging from the building of an outdoor classroom; a large heated greenhouse for horticulture, covers and heat pump for the swimming pool; the purchase of musical instruments; provision of whiteboards and laptops; refurbishment of house areas; financial support for pupils attending school camp and the funding of a mental health nurse.

Regular events include the sale of bedding and vegetable plants grown in the kitchen garden and a stall at the Fairford Christmas Market. Any other ideas welcome!

Most recently, £10,000 has been raised to support areas of the alternative curriculum which will allow students to spend time in the woods learning bush craft skills and also to create a living art garden.
