Pupils added a personal touch to this year's Christmas dinner by designing and making the table decorations.
Indoor Tree
Thank you to Lechlade Garden Centre for donating a beautiful Christmas tree for our meeting room.

Thank you to the Ernest Cook Trust for donating a magnificent tree to display outside our school. This is the largest tree we have ever had and the pupils were so excited to see it go up.

On Tuesday 10th of December, pupils, staff and parents from Coln House School were lucky enough to visit Bristol Hippodrome.
RHS Campaign for School Gardens
Coln House School have completed Level 5 of the 'RHS Campaign for School Gardening' benchmark scheme and therefore are now a 'Five Star Gardening School'.

Chelsea's Choice
For the second year, The Alter Ego Theatre Group were invited to Coln House on 27th November to act out 'Chelsea's Choice'.
Rap and Hip Hop at Coln House

Number One in the Cotswolds
Coln House school is voted number one in the Cotswolds and has won funding from the Lloyds Bank Community Fund
Jack follows up Everest to visit business mentor Mr Terry Pudwell
Jack visited business mentor Terry Pudwell, who runs a company called Assuria. Assuria design security software and are one of the world leaders in this field.

Flower Arranging for Achievement Awards
Coln House Pupils were honoured to help Saskia prepare and deliver these beautiful arrangements to 'Peter Lang Children's Trust 10th Anniversary Education Achievement Awards' held in the Gold Cup Room at Cheltenham Racecourse on 21st November 2013.
Christmas Boxes
On Children in Need day, the students all worked together to pack, wrap and label several shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child, the charity run by the Samaritans Purse.

Supporting Charities
Coln House School are committed to supporting charities. Last month we raised £47.69 for 'Jeans for Genes Day' by holding a cake sale and all wearing jeans for the day.
Fireworks Light up the Sky
A group of 11 pupils and 9 staff had a fantastic time on Tuesday night at the annual Quenington Fireworks and Bonfire night.
Supermarket Sweep
Six pupils and three Staff became supermarket bag packers on Wednesday evening this week and raised £135 for the school.
Help for Heroes
After battling through torrential rain, four bedraggled cyclists arrived at Coln House on the first leg of their epic 220Km bike ride from Brize Norton to St Athan in Wales.
Morning Club Introduced
Pupils have this week been introduced to new morning clubs before school to energise the body and soul.
The Owl and the Pussycat
The story telling sculpture The Owl and the Pussycat was offered to schools after Westonbirt Arboretum had put on an exhibition last July.

Kingcott Farm Camp
In partnership with www.youngbristol.com three intrepid pupils and six members of staff spent the camp week of 2013 in the woods above Bristol.
Oakdene Forest
After a working hard all year a group of staff and pupils headed off to Oakdene Forest Park for a week's holiday.
Pyrenees Challenge
From the start, the biggest challenge seemed to be to have five pupils available for the trip with passports and parental agreement.

An amazing opportunity for pupils to have a taste of life in the RAF was offered to 5 pupils with a visit to Brize Norton today.
Team Building Day
In preparation for the camps July 2013 a teambuilding day was held to prepare teams for the challenges ahead.
Jack selected for the EVEREST TEAM 2013
An intrepid student has been selected to be part of the extreme classroom challenge to reach Everest base camp in 2013. Jack E has faced months of selection from the initial application stage to the final selection challenge in Wales.
Coln House brightens local community
Fairford Town Council again asked Coln House School to plant the town centre wooden tubs. This year the garden staff and pupils selected a combination of fuchsia and pinks supported by lobelia which were planted in the last week of May.
Flower Display at St Mary's Church
Ben P and Saskia produced a beautiful flower display for the local church. This is part of our on-going commitment to supporting the community.
Town Tubs
With dedication and hard work from Mr Taylor, Miss Molsher and the students, the school have again helped the local community with the planting of the tubs for Fairford Town Council.
The Good Life School
The school was recently featured in Your Chickens magazine, the article detailing how horticulture and chicken breeding are integrated into school life.
Ten Tors Challenge
A group of staff and students from Coln House School faced the Jubilee Challenge on the 10th May 2013. They were on Dartmoor alongside the well-established Ten Tors Challenge. The team tackled the 18 mile route.
