Tottenham break Careworkers hearts

Three pupils Ryan, Josh and Lucas had to console Villa faithful care workers Cliff Taylor and Gareth Davies after Tottenham thrashed Aston Villa 4-0 in the Capital One Cup. At least the boys enjoyed the experience!. A great night shame about the result.

Riverwalk

On a blazing Thursday afternoon, the whole school took the opportunity to walk down to the river and look for some Crayfish.

Pupils Enjoy Monster Truck Mayhem

Five pupils were rewarded for their fantastic achievements over the school year with a top night out to watch The Scott May Daredevil Show at Cirencester Park.

Aston Villa v Newcastle

As part of our French cultural experience week, we were lucky enough to secure tickets for the free falling Villa's game against the invading French hoards from Tyneside in the magnificently appointed Villa Park last Tuesday evening. Die hard Villa fans, Taylor, Anderton and Criddle were accompanied by exchange French students Boyd, Weeks and Rogers.

Monsieur Boyd had a photo opportunity with the Villa mascot 'Hercules'. He was accompanied by Miss Birmingham 2012, his new girlfriend!

In a game of two halves, Villa quickly displayed the reason why relegation beckons by conceding an early goal to Cisse. Les Noirs et Blancs continued to press and were rewarded with a second goal by Cabaye before half time. All the action took place at the Villa end where the Geordie fans were trying hard not to celebrate for fear of discovery.

A dubious penalty saw the Villa back in the game early doors after half time. Spurred on by their fans who came back into the ground, they totally dominated the second half with a scintillating display of Championship football. Les NB's gambled with three substitutions who had a combined total of eight surnames and managed to hold on for a draw. Disappointment again for Villa but they should be used to it by now.

Prefect Trip to Aston Villa

Three pupils and two staff recently enjoyed a freezing snowy night out in Birmingham watching Aston Villa v Bradford in the Capital Cup football Semi Final.

As a reward for recent outstanding behaviour in both the school day and boarding it was a special treat for the three boys and die hard Villa supporter Cliff Taylor and Duncan Luce.

Unfortunately for Cliff his beloved Aston Villa crashed out and face another trophy-less season, which made the journey home in the snow even more painful!
