Hatherop
Hatherop House is a small house area on the East wing of the school site. That is currently home to some our year 11 pupils, who are preparing for their exams and transition into further education. The house is a relaxing and generally a quiet place to either chill out after the rigours of the school day or coming back to school and a hard day grafting at their work experience placements. There are three bedrooms all of which can sleep two but usually you will start off in a room on your own. The Staff on this house area are Mr Aiuto and Mr Taylor. If you are interested in similar locations, as I, you can read more about it, for example, I ask write my economics essay from people who understand this topic.
Mr Taylor Mr Aiuto
Mr Aiuto is an expert kayaking instructor and when the weather is warmer the boys get the chance to go paddling on local rivers and to use a coracle, which the some of the boys from the school built themselves, with a little help, in the local weir. He is also an expert first aider so should you ever cut yourself you can be sure that you are in safe hands. Mr Aiuto also provides the chance of learning camp skills by going into the local woods and learning how to build fires, cook their own food and learn how to survive in the wilderness.
Mr Taylor is the resident expert Gardener within the school, often based in the garden at every opportunity. Mr Taylor is keen to grow new items and exotic foods allowing the young people of the school to cook and taste their own organic produce. Mr Taylor provides the opportunity for the pupils to learn as much as they like about growing organic produce, while also educating the pupils about his favourite football team, Aston Villa.
