Fishing Blog
Thursday 6th June
Mr Bale and Ryan went night fishing on a lovely evening just up the road from school at a small lake called Thelford Pools. Ryan's aim was to catch his first 20lb'er and experience Mr Bale's cooking, Mr Bale's cooking was excellent but unfortunately the fishing wasn't. We could see all the fish cruising round but for some reason they just wouldn't take the bait that was offered to them. We packed up slowly the following morning with a dejected look between us, but with Ryan's positive attitude we vowed to return and try again.
April 24th
Another fantastic weeks fishing with 6 carp caught over a 4hr period, the biggest fish weighing over 15lbs and another being a fully scaled mirror carp in perfect condition.
At the end of the week there are 2 pupils going on a night fishing session. Looking forward to posting more photos.
Fishing
Every week there is an opportunity for one of the pupils at Coln house to go fishing and catch either their first fish or their biggest fish. This opportunity is fo/ effort into the school day or on house area, they will be chosen and asked if they would like to participate. There will be a prize for the biggest fish and t/ll be updated every week.
//////////What another great start to the early season fishing at Buscot Park. The two boys had a great time landing this lovely 14lb mirror carp. Hopefully there will be plenty more fish like this to be caught, if not bigger!!
Hopefully we will also run a fishing tournament where pupils and staff will compete against each other for the title of COLN HOUSE ANGLER OF THE YEAR, this is a fun competition with hopefully a lot of people taking part
