Natural disasters are almost always a problem of a certain group of people: villages, towns, cities, countries. And so, when we all experience a certain happiness together, we are united by community. That is why the celebration is so important for us, because the unifying phenomenon is growing strongly on common fear, you can buy article online and read more about it.

The summer sizzler was reincarnated this September after several years lay off following the floods.

We feared the worst again this time as it started to rain early morning and continued until late in the afternoon. It cleared however and only the cold affected our guests in the evening and that was only until the big braziers were lit. Over 180 locals turned up to enjoy George Ellis's pig roast and some cool tunes from era's past! It was a huge success, raising about £3000 which will go towards student activities this year.

We are indebted to the hard work of Mrs Rogers who organised the whole event; all the staff who gave up their time to help serve and wash up [thank you Pat Little!!], The George at Kempsford for the loan of their tent, Mr Little for organising the bar and a host of other things, site staff who put up our tents and cleared up, Alex Paton for his marquees, local entrepreneurs Nick Gregory and Darren Weeks for sponsoring the pig and the music; local businesses who donated raffle prizes; a big thank you to Fairford Town football club for the loan of their tables and Saskia for the flower arrangements; Mrs Roger's elder sister for helping on the door and those who helped clear up Saturday morning. But the biggest thanks go to a group of locals who come and support all our events. See you all there same time next year!!
